I was struggling to give the wife some ideas for gifts I might like this year...
I think I have an answer.

EBAY Profiles in History
376. Full-size animatronic "Joe" from Mighty Joe Young. (RKO/Disney, 1998)

Truly one of the most spectacular items ever offered by Profiles In History, this amazing 9½ ft. tall prop is the hero quadruped ape used in the film. The original hydraulics have been removed to lighten the weight of the piece, but with that exception, he is exactly as he was photographed. Not only did this particular artifact appear in all the shots featuring the full sized ape, but it is also the hero statue that was used for all the one-sheets, press packages and publicity material. Used for the scenes where Charlize Theron and Bill Paxton would be seen next to the full sized Joe, this figure worked multiple times in the movie and was just as impressive as its CGI counterparts. 9 ½ ft. high – 8 ft. wide and 15 ft. long. $80,000 - $120,000
