ORIGINALLY POSTED 8-1-2008
First leg of our trip is done and to take the edge off of family travel, I have sequestered myself in the In-Laws computer room to sneak in another post.
King Kong was raised from the dead for a 1972 Volkswagen commercial by legendary stop motion animator David Allen. Allen not only captured the look of the movie monster icon but also effectively reproduced the nuances of the original animation. David's work appeared in a variety of films including the notorious FLESH GORDON (1974), HONEY, I SHRUNK THE KIDS (1989) and the popular PUPPETMASTER series.
