Emil Van Horn crosses paths with the legendary Mantan Moreland in 1942's LAW OF THE JUNGLE. I have only watched a couple of Mantan's films but I was stunned at how adept he was at transcending the racially demeaning material he is given, playing on a comic note that resonates above the scripted intentions. I have yet to scoop up this film but it is readily available through Alpha Video.
